Turn your best social content into shoppable video on your Shopify store — no downloads, no code, live in under 5 minutes.
To import TikTok or Instagram Reels into Shopify, install a shoppable video app like Moast from the Shopify App Store. Go to Media in the Moast admin, click Add Media, select your platform, and paste a URL or browse your profile. Videos are imported in seconds — no downloading required. You can then tag products inside each video to make them shoppable, and place them anywhere on your store using Shopify's native theme editor.
Most Shopify merchants have a problem they don't think about: their best content is in the wrong place. The TikToks and Reels that generate comments, saves, and shares are sitting on social platforms where the only action a viewer can take is to follow you or click a link in bio. They can't add to cart. They can't buy.
Your product pages are where purchase decisions happen. That's where buyers with genuine intent land — from ads, from search, from email. And yet most product pages rely entirely on static photography to close the sale.
Importing your social video content directly onto your PDPs bridges that gap. Dame added shoppable video to their product pages and saw a $26,000 increase in monthly revenue and a 17% lift in conversion rate — without increasing traffic. The content they used already existed. It just needed to be in the right place.
Setup is quick. Before you begin, make sure you have:
That's it. No developer. No theme code. No video editing software.
Moast gives you four different ways to import Instagram content — from a specific Reel URL all the way to pulling in every post that mentions your brand. Here's how to do it.
In your Moast admin, navigate to the Media section. Click the "Add media" button in the top right.
At the top of the import panel, select Instagram. You'll then choose from four import methods depending on what content you want to bring in:
Before importing, choose your settings:
After selecting your posts and configuring settings, click "Save." Your Instagram Reels are added to your Moast media library and are ready to be placed in widgets on your store.
The TikTok import flow in Moast works the same way as Instagram. The same four methods apply — profile URL, specific video URL, profile mentions, and hashtag — so once you've done it once for Instagram, TikTok takes less than a minute.
In your Moast admin, navigate to Media and click "Add media."
At the top of the import panel, select TikTok. The same four import methods are available: TikTok profile URL, specific video URL, profile mentions, and hashtag.
Browse and select the TikToks you want to import. Configure the same settings as Instagram — import only videos, hide in widgets, or tag products during import. Up to 12 posts can be imported at a time when browsing a profile.
Your TikTok videos are added to your Moast media library. They're now ready to be tagged with products and placed in widgets on your store.
Manually importing videos one by one works great for getting started. But if you post regularly to TikTok or Instagram, you'll want Social Sync — Moast's automated import feature that keeps your store's video library in sync with your social accounts without any manual work.
Social Sync scans your connected accounts every 24 hours and automatically imports any new content that matches your sync settings. New post published? It's in your store the next day.
To set up Social Sync: Moast Dashboard → Media → Social Syncs
You can set up three types of syncs:
You can create multiple syncs and manage them all in one place. An optional Auto-approve setting lets imported content go straight into your widgets without manual review — or you can keep it off to approve each post yourself before it goes live.
Importing the video is step one. Making it shoppable — so viewers can click directly from the video to a product page or cart — is what turns it into a revenue asset.
Go to Media in your Moast admin and click on the imported video you want to tag.
In the video editor, click "Add product tag." Search for the product by name or handle. Position the tag where you want it to appear on the video frame — typically when the product is most clearly visible on screen.
If your video features more than one product — common in lifestyle content and brand videos — you can add multiple product tags. Each tag links to a different product page, letting shoppers click through to whichever item interests them.
Once tagged, save the video and add it to a widget. Your shoppable video is ready to go live on your store. See the placement section below for where to put it for maximum impact.
Where you place your shoppable videos matters as much as the content itself. Here's how to think about placement across the different pages of your Shopify store:
| Page | Best widget type | Why it works |
|---|---|---|
| Product page (PDP) | Stories pop-up or carousel | Highest purchase intent — shoppers are already considering buying. Place above your reviews section for maximum conversion impact. |
| Homepage | Video carousel | Sets the tone for new visitors. Use brand and lifestyle content — less about a specific product, more about who you are. |
| Collection page | Carousel | Helps shoppers quickly understand your range. Reduces the number of PDPs they need to visit before finding the right product. |
| Landing page (paid traffic) | Featured video or carousel | Visitors from ads already have context. Reinforce the ad creative with shoppable video and remove the friction between interest and purchase. |
In Moast, widget placement uses Shopify's native theme editor — no code required. Go to your theme, add a Moast block to the section you want, select your video group, and it's live.
These results come from merchants who were already creating social content — they just needed it in the right place.
