How to duplicate media
Updated yesterday
You can make a copy of any video or image in your Media library. The copy keeps everything you set up on the original, like the caption, product tags, links, labels, and thumbnail, so you can reuse a setup without uploading the file again.
Before you start
The video or image has to finish processing first. You can only duplicate media that is ready to play.
Duplicate media
In your Media library, click the video or image you want to copy to open it.
On the media page, click Duplicate. The button sits next to Download and Open in email embed.
Moast creates the copy and opens its page. You'll see the confirmation Media duplicated. The copy is processing.
The copy gets a new name based on the original: summer-haul becomes summer-haul (copy). If you duplicate that copy, the next one is summer-haul (copy 2). Media with no name is called copy.
The copy appears as a new item in your library and starts processing on its own. It isn't added to your widgets or the Shop App right away.
What the copy includes
Caption, description, transcript, and alt text
Labels
Product tags and variants, in the same order
Links and buttons on the media, in the same order
Thumbnail
Video settings like size, playback options, and display setting
The social account connected to the media
Expiry date
Profile details like the member, testimonial, and approval status
What starts fresh
Stats: views, clicks, likes, ratings, and shares all start at zero

If you can't duplicate
If you see Media is still processing, the video hasn't finished processing yet. Wait a few minutes and try again. If you see Media not found, the original file is no longer available.
To download or delete media instead, see Downloading or deleting videos.
