Why impression numbers are different on the Media and Home pages
Updated 2 months ago
If your Impressions on the Media page look different from the numbers on your Home page or Analytics dashboard, that is usually expected. The two pages are showing different reports with different date ranges.
What is happening
The Media page and the Home page can show different impression counts because they are not pulling from the same time window or the same type of metric.
Media page Impressions are lifetime widget impressions. That is the total number of times a Moast widget has ever loaded and been seen on your site.
Analytics page numbers default to the last 3 days ending yesterday.
Your Home / Dashboard default to the last 30 days ending yesterday.
Because each surface can be looking at a different time period, the numbers will often not match.
What to check
Look at the date range shown on each page. If one page says Last 30 days and another says Last 3 days, the numbers are expected to differ.
On the Media page, remember that Impressions is a lifetime total. It is not tied to the current date range filter.
Still looks wrong?
If you have set the same date range on both pages and the numbers still look off, contact our support team and we will check it for you.
