Shopify Shop App Integration
Updated last month
What is the Shop app
The Shop app is Shopify's mobile shopping app where customers can browse brands, discover products, and buy directly from their phone.
With the Moast integration, your shoppable videos can appear inside the Shop app, not just on your website. This helps your products get discovered by millions of shoppers who may have never visited your store before.
Why this is important
This gives you extra reach without extra work.
Get discovered by millions of Shop app users
Drive sales from customers outside your website
Reuse the same videos you already made
No extra tools or setup needed
Completely free and takes about a minute to turn on
Tag once, and your videos can show everywhere.
How it works
Moast keeps everything automatic and in sync. When you tag products in your videos:
The same products are linked in the Shop app
No duplicate tagging
Product updates stay synced, if you change the product in the Moast app, we'll change the product in the Shop app
Removing a tag removes it everywhere
When automatic publishing is on, Moast:
Finds eligible videos (ready to play, portrait, tagged with at least 1 product)
Processes and uploads them to the Shop app
Links products using Shopify product IDs
Keeps everything updated if you change tags later
A video is eligible when it is ready to play, portrait (taller than wide, square videos also work), tagged with at least one product, and available in a streaming format. If a video can't be published, the Shop section shows the reason.
So once it's on, you don't need to manage anything manually.
How to set it up in Moast
Option 1: Publish new videos automatically
Go to Moast Dashboard → Settings → Integrations and open the Shop app page.
Turn on Auto-publish to Shop app. Eligible videos you add from now on are published automatically.
To also publish the videos you already have, turn on Publish existing videos. Leave it off to only add newly added media.
Click Save.
If you turn Auto-publish to Shop app off later, you can turn on Unpublish existing videos to remove all your videos from the Shop app, or leave it off to keep them published.
Option 2: Publish one video
Open a video in your Media library.
In the Shop section on the right, turn on Publish on Shop.
The Shop section shows the current status, like Published, Publishing, Syncing…, Unpublished, or Error. If the video can't be published yet, it shows why: Needs products means the video has no tagged product, Landscape not eligible means the video is wider than tall, and Ineligible format means the video isn't available in a supported streaming format. Make sure the video is tagged with a product before you publish.
Option 3: Publish several videos at once
Select the checkboxes on the videos in your Media library.
Click More actions.
Choose Publish to the Shop app to add them, or Unpublish from the Shop app to remove them.
Confirm in the dialog.
Use the Published on Shop filter in the Media library to see which videos are published: set it to Yes or No.
