How lazy loading works in Moast

Moast lazy loads videos so they only load when they are on the shopper's screen. This keeps your store fast. There is no setting to turn lazy loading on or off.
If videos look lower quality on some phones, that is usually Playback mode, not lazy loading.
What lazy loading does
Moast waits to load a video until it is actually visible on the page. Videos that are not on screen do not load in the background.
Your pages stay lighter because Moast only loads what the shopper can see.
Moast pauses and unloads videos that are not being viewed, even when a page has several videos.
Your page does not jump or shift as videos load.
Widget code is small (about 6KB) and loads after your theme.
Videos are served from Shopify, using the server closest to each shopper.
How playback adapts to each shopper
By default, Moast also adapts video quality to each shopper's device and network speed. Fast connections get sharper video. Slower connections get a lighter file so playback stays smooth.
You can change this tradeoff in Playback mode.
Change Playback mode
Use Playback mode when you want to prioritize site speed or the highest video quality.
Open your Moast app.
Go to Settings > Widget settings.
In the Videos section, open Playback mode.
Choose Performance or Quality.
Performance is the default. It adapts to the shopper's device and network speed.
Quality loads the highest file size for every shopper. Videos can take longer to show up and use more data.
Quality mode loads the largest files for all customers. On slower connections, videos can take longer to appear.
