How to Customize the Order of Media in Your Widget

Customize the order of media in your widget using the Media order control in the Moast widget editor. This replaces the old feed-based ordering workflow.

Open the widget editor

  1. In the Moast dashboard, go to the Widgets tab.

  2. Open the widget you want to edit.

  3. In the editor sidebar, find the Media order section.

Choose a sort mode

The Media order control offers several ways to arrange your content:

  • Manual: Drag and drop your media into the exact order you want. Click and drag any item to move it.

  • Newest: Automatically shows the newest media first.

  • Oldest: Shows the oldest media first.

  • Smart: Uses AI to sort your media based on performance indicators such as engagement, clicks, and conversions. This puts your highest-performing content first.

  • Video priority: Shows videos before images.

  • Random: Shuffles the order each time the widget loads.

Some sort options require the Pro plan. You will see a lightning bolt icon next to upgrade-only features.

Remove media from the order grid

When Manual is selected, you can remove an individual media item directly from the Media order grid without reopening the media picker.

  1. In the Media order grid, hover over the thumbnail you want to remove.

  2. Click the Remove (X) button that appears in the top-right corner of the thumbnail.

The item is removed from the widget and from the manual media picker. The widget preview updates immediately and the Media order grid refreshes.

The Remove button only appears for manual media selection. It is hidden for smart or condition-driven media.

Remove all media from a widget

When media selection is set to Manual, you can clear every video from the widget in the media picker.

  1. In the widget editor, open the media picker with Select media.

  2. Deselect every selected item so none are checked.

  3. Click Remove all media.

The widget media list clears. This action is only available for manual media selection.

Save your changes

After you choose a sort mode, finish dragging your media into place, or remove any unwanted items, save your widget. The new order is reflected immediately on your store.
